L’Allée des Alyscamps is the title of a series of two paintings (“Pendants”) by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. He created them in 1888 in Arles, France. The works depict autumnal scenes of the Alyscamps, an ancient Roman necropolis in Arles, lined with poplar trees and stone sarcophagi.

Van Gogh painted these pictures during his stay in Arles, one of his most productive periods. During this time, he worked closely with Paul Gauguin, who arrived in Arles in October 1888. Both artists painted the same motif to compare their different styles. Van Gogh created a total of four views of the Alyscamps, including this pair and another depicting falling leaves. Gauguin completed two paintings of the necropolis.
